I help leaders build systems that scale trust, clarity, and collaboration.
For over 20 years, I’ve helped teams solve messy, human problems—like what to do when collaboration stalls, change feels chaotic, or everyone’s talking but no one seems to understand each other.
My approach blends systems thinking, communication science, and empathy—not as a soft skill, but as a core part of how organizations function. I work with leaders who are scaling fast, leading through uncertainty, or simply tired of watching smart people struggle to work together.
Whether I’m speaking to a room of executives or coaching a founder navigating rapid growth, my goal is the same: to help people build systems that work better because they communicate better.
Because clarity isn’t just nice to have. It’s what makes everything else possible.

Founder, Empathy In Tech
Embedding empathy into the tech industry.

Empathy in Tech is a podcast and non-profit project of Superbloom. Together, we’re on a mission to accelerate the responsible adoption of empathy in the tech industry by:
- Closing the empathy skills gap by treating empathy as a technical skill.
- Teaching technical empathy through accessible, affordable, actionable training.
- Building community and breaking down harmful stereotypes and tropes.
- Promoting technical empathy for ethics, equity, and social justice.

Software ceo & industry leader
Changing the way we think of legacy code.
In 2009, I co-founded a software consultancy that specialized in untangling complex, legacy codebases. For over 15 years, I served as CEO, emphasizing the importance of empathy in our corporate culture, technical practices, and operational systems.
At the time, people literally laughed at my approach, but it’s here that I was able to directly observe how empathy and effective communication was what the best software developers were already doing. That’s when I sought out to codify empathy in a systemic and engineer-friendly way.
Along with my co-founder, M. Scott Ford, we launched the community and podcast Legacy Code Rocks where I was able to interview over 100 experts, spotting patterns on how effective code depends on effective communications.
