Andrea Goulet is a prominent thought leader in the technology industry around three ideas: legacy code, communication, and empathy-driven development.

Having worked as a freelance writer and marketing consultant to many of the world's largest brands, Andrea launched BrandVox to help executives articulate their vision, connect with the right customers, and motivate their team.

In 2009, after a chance encounter at a high school reunion, Andrea Goulet became the CEO of Corgibytes. At the time, she didn't know how to code, but she dove in with gusto and built it into one of the world's most sought after consultancies for maintaining and modernizing software applications. As an active writer, blogger, and speaker, Andrea shares her perspectives on the tech industry and keynotes regularly at conferences around the world about building a business based on balance, empathy, and trust; the perils of the technical/non-technical divide; and the technical philosophies around working with legacy code.

Andrea is working on her first book, Becoming Technical: Build an Amazing Software Career from Square Zero

In her spare time, Andrea is passionate about social justice and is the Vice Chair of the Richmond Technology Council. She loves watching her kids explore the world and is a sucker for a good physics documentary. You can recognize her by the JavaScript tattoo on her wrist.
